Clare and Dugie. Three words to describe their amazing celebration; heartfelt, inspiring and super-duper-relaxed. And also fun. And also love-filled. Aaaaand also the perfect reflection of their love.
Ok, so I went over three words there… but it would take me many more words to accurately describe their epic wedding. The ceremony was held in a natural little amphitheatre in the bush at Sokil Arts and Eco Retreat, with eucalypt trees gently blowing in the wind providing a calming soundtrack to one of the most beautiful ceremonies you will hear. This was the first wedding I shot after the “Yes” vote to Marriage Equality passed, and therefore the first time that myself (and all the guests) would have heard the new wording: “Marriage is between two people…” instead of “Marriage is between a man and a woman”. It’s no coincidence that the first time hearing this was at the wedding of two of the most loving, accepting and inclusive people you’ll ever meet. Definitely brought a tear to my eye (which was quickly wiped off my camera).
They walked down the aisle separately with their respective families, which was such a nice touch. All their guests camped out on the property as well, which made for a lovely community feel.
So stoked to have been a part of this day, and to have witnessed ALL the awesomeness that is Clare + Dugie.
